My approach to psychotherapy is person-centred, culturally-sensitive, and integrative. I draw on cognitive-behavioural, narrative therapy, attachment theory, neuroscience, hypnotherapy, mindfulness and Eastern philosophies (i.e. yoga, meditation, chakra system) to support deeper awareness, healing, and change. I am a registered psychotherapist (qualifying), Canadian certified counsellor, and yoga teacher with a masters in counselling psychology.

What drew me to psychology was a deep curiosity of people and inner experience. I wanted to learn about myself and others, be able to navigate my own process of healing, and be very good at understanding.  In addition, after practicing yoga for several years, I was drawn to the psycho-spiritual layers of the practice, deeper questions, and self-development.  I take these pieces off my mat, into my own life and relationships, and draw on the psychology of yoga to frame my work.

I've worked with young professionals, entrepreneurs, teachers, students and many others in areas related to trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, and other common mental and emotional health, and relationship-related concerns. I believe that the most effective approach is blended, personalized, draws on your inner resources, and helps you meet your goals in a holistic way.

What I offer is:
  • a climate of trust and belonging
  • an invitation to go at your own pace
  • holding space for deep inquiry, reflection, and listening
  • a safe container to learn how to explore and navigate your thoughts and emotions
  • an opportunity to gently remove layers of stigma
